Budgie’s Journal #117 – WIP Wednesday 14: The Return of WIP Wednesday
It’s been a while since I did a Work in Progress update, so I figured I’d give it a shot today, seeing as today is the day dubbed “WIP Wednesday” by indie authors on social media. Those of you who follow me closely know I’ve been working on multiple projects for 2018, and I’m already geared up three days into the year.
Dusk Volume 2, my second collection of dark and twisted short stories, is nearing completion. I still don’t have a rock solid release date, but expect this soon.
I’m still working on Ant-Head: A Love Story, a raunchy romantic comedy focusing on the love life of a sitcom-obsessed fan fiction writer, and I’m nearing it’s climax. I was hoping for a Valentine’s release, but I’m suspecting this will end up coming out in early spring.
I’m in Sci-fi Hell is done and in its beta-reading stage. I’m Still in Sci-fi Hell is in progress with the first five chapters written. I’m still shooting for a dual release this summer, God willing. This story is proving to be a lot of fun to write, and it’s turned out to be much longer than originally intended. I don’t think I’ll add a third book to end the series, but who knows. This takes place in a world where anything is possible after all.
The Whore Ghosts of the Admiral Inn is complete, the first draft anyway. This book was a shit load of fun to write, combining dark comedy, a ghost story, and horror elements. The whole thing flowed out of me, and I can’t wait to release this. I have the people who inspired the ensemble team in the book beta-reading, so I’m sure I’ll have tons of notes for the second draft. Look for this around Halloween.
Finally, Freedom Lane season 13 is coming. It’s almost entirely written, and I’m quite proud of these episodes. Expect this around mid to late February.
That’s it for my update. I hope you enjoy what’s coming your way. I’ll check up on you all later.
